Actually, the frozen hot chocolate recipe in Alice Medrich’s Chocolate and the Art of Low-Fat Baking is just as good (if not better) as Serendipity’s! So no more wait time for me, and I get a low-fat dessert!

Of course it’s ok, I loved the pictures too! Thanks for sharing them Robyn. Most places, including Serendipity, won’t allow you to take pictures in the store (unless it looks like you’re photographing friends). I’ll have to check out sugar sweet sunshine bakery soon and compare the cupcakes with Magnolia’s and Buttercup’s - for research purposes of course

Last fall a bunch of my friends were really excited about going to Serendipity, which was freakishly packed of course (thank god for reservations). Here is documentation of the frozen hot chocolate-ness. It was disappointing to see how the quality of the food FAR from justified the price and how the environment of HOARDS OF PEOPLE wasn't that appealing so it's a good thing you made the frozen hot chocolate yourself. Dessert related: I went to Sugar Sweet Sunshine today and took some photos (this is a better example of the cupcake-ness)...damn, I want to go again. Right now would be good.
