International Chocolate Tasting with John Scharffenberger

Scharffen Berger 5 oz. chocolates

John Scharffenberger, Co-Founder of Scharffen Berger Chocolates, will be teaching a course in international chocolate tasting at the The New School in New York City. Scharffenberger will cover criteria used by professionals to judge the quality and characteristics of different types of chocolate and discuss cultural influences on preferences in chocolate. Don’t be intimidated if all you know about chocolate is that you like it. As the course description says, “This is not a class for food snobs but for sincere enthusiasts.” Enthusiasts will also be happy to know that tastings of chocolate (presumably Scharffen Berger) will be offered.

ONE COMMENT SO FAR...

Have you ever tried their Mocha chocolate bar? It’s out of this world. I like to just let the chocolate melt slowly in my mouth so you can actually feel the little bits of ground coffee in the chocolate. mmmmmm…..

WHAT DO YOU THINK?
