Darn it. I just ordered the white chocolate from Vosges on Friday. I have wanted to try it for so long and kept putting it off because of the price and I finally gave in! Its costing me $30 with shipping. Now you tell me - $14.99. phoowey. Oh well. Hopefully its good. I’ll try to report back.
Oh no! I’m sorry I didn’t get this up sooner
Let us know if it’s even worth the $14.99!
Hi,
Just want to say I love your site. I just ate a homemade marshmallow and was thinking how nice it would be to have some hot chocolate to go with it and low and behold I come to your site…
You’ve totally turned me on to reading blogs. Thanks!
Pam
Ok. I just made the Bianca cocoa and all it reminds me of is hot Trix cereal. Trix. Yes. Odd. Likeable in a nostalgic (for me) kind of way but not something I would consider gourmet, couture, worth $25, etc. Also not something I would crave - I don’t think. I guess we’ll see. Also, in my mug it is creating a yellow film on the top as it cools. Very unappealing. Perhaps I did something wrong? But I don’t think so. Final words: if you can get this for free or a glass of it for a couple dollars, its different and worth a try. I wouldn’t buy the whole box though unless you really love Trix.
Hi Becky — Thanks for reporting back. How disappointing. I always thought the best part of Trix milk was the little color specs floating around — I imagine Vosges doesn’t have that
Hi Pam — Thanks for your nice note! It looks like the Vosges HC isn’t recommended. Did you ever find a good one to go with your marshmallow?
No I haven’t looked, but I’m wondering how it would be w/warmed milk….I think I’ll try it tonite.
maybe the vosges chocolate drinks are just better when you get them in the shop. i had the bianca and the aztec yesterday and they were fabulous. the bianca was like spring in a cup!
