Happy Happy Happy closed. There is a new bakery,Babycakes, that specializes in allergy-free baked goodies just a little southeast of where Happyx3 stood. Here is our latest review:

I love Happy Happy Happy. They have the best chocolate cupcakes - the frosting is the best I've ever had. And the lemon tarts are puckerific!

Hi Robyn-- I think the moisture has something to do with the chocolate in the cake. The woman at the bakery mentioned that cocoa is often used in place of some of the regular flour.

Hi Shauna-- I love your blog, thanks for sharing your story. Happy Happy Happy delivers in case you'd like to order anything outside of NY :)

This makes me happy! This year, I had to stop eating gluten (celiac disease, which I had never heard of before, but had been affecting my entire life). After a re-adjustment period, I just don't miss the gluten. Tonight, I made an apricot/bing cherry crisp with gluten-free flour, and it made everyone in the room happy.

I'm a former New Yorker, and an always-dessert lover, so thank you for letting me know about this place.

(If you want to read more about how to cook with gluten, try my blog: http://glutenfreegirl.blogspot.com

I liked their moist chocolate cupcake (even though it got all over my fingers as I tried to eat it). The ginger cookie I tried was dry but had a nice strong ginger taste. One of my friends tried a madeleine and said that was dry too. I wonder if there's anything in between the super-moist and super-dry?
