The New York Culinary Festival will be held this weekend from Friday, May 19 to Sunday, May 21 at the UnConvention Center. This isn’t your average food show or market; it truly is a festival, with live entertainment featured on 5 different stages. There is something for everyone:
STAGE #1 features live music and award presentations.
STAGE #2 features chef demonstrations.
STAGE #3 features lectures, seminars, panel discussions, and culinary spotlights.
STAGE #4 is a lifestyle stage, featuring home, health, fitness, nutrition, travel, leisure and the arts.
STAGE #5 is a family stage, featuring fun stuff for kids.
Featured chef demos include François Payard of Payard Patisserie, Pichet Ong of P’ONG, Matt Lewis & Renato Poliafito of Baked, Sam Mason of wd-50 and much more. The events start in the afternoon so you can still sleep in, and will go on rain or shine as everything is held indoors. Tickets are $20 for adults and are good for one day only (no weekend passes available). Additional food costs between $2 and $8 per serving, which in New York is not a bad deal. I know you’ll find me there this weekend.
