New York Culinary Festival

The New York Culinary Festival will be held this weekend from Friday, May 19 to Sunday, May 21 at the UnConvention Center. This isn’t your average food show or market; it truly is a festival, with live entertainment featured on 5 different stages. There is something for everyone:

STAGE #1 features live music and award presentations.

STAGE #2 features chef demonstrations.

STAGE #3 features lectures, seminars, panel discussions, and culinary spotlights.

STAGE #4 is a lifestyle stage, featuring home, health, fitness, nutrition, travel, leisure and the arts.

STAGE #5 is a family stage, featuring fun stuff for kids.

Featured chef demos include Fran├žois Payard of Payard Patisserie, Pichet Ong of P’ONG, Matt Lewis & Renato Poliafito of Baked, Sam Mason of wd-50 and much more. The events start in the afternoon so you can still sleep in, and will go on rain or shine as everything is held indoors. Tickets are $20 for adults and are good for one day only (no weekend passes available). Additional food costs between $2 and $8 per serving, which in New York is not a bad deal. I know you’ll find me there this weekend.
