We thought that the presentation was absolutely charming (I love all the custom-shaped dishes and eating with little spatulas), but the chocolate itself was fairly mediocre. The first and ever time I had it was in Sydney. I managed to go back to the same location to try the waffle, chocolate cake, and fondue in the same trip. Some friends who are in town brought back their souffle, brownie, and choco cookie. Interestingly, I found a white piece of 'thing' inside the souffle that resembled lard. I didn't bother to reheat it beforehand so I'm guessing that was supposed to melt into the cake when it's baked? Anyway, love MB. Wish they had it here in HK. I absolutely love Max Brenner!
